• Prescribe, amend, repeal and enforce the CSC rules.
• Oversee the administration of the Civil Service Program.
• Hear appeals and grievances.

• Thoughtful, impartial individuals who can review confidential information, ask good questions, evaluate evidence, and work collaboratively.
• Experience in public service, HR, labor relations, law, leadership, policy, or governance is valuable.
• Applicants must have resided in San Luis Obispo County for at least one year before appointment, may not hold another salaried County office, and may not have served as an active executive officer of a political organization during the preceding year.
